Twin Maples Farm
Levels of Achievement
Our program includes the Twin Maples Farm "Levels of Achievement" which are a systematic and progressive
set of standards designed to direct and measure a student's understanding and knowledge of riding skills and horse management.
With these standards, students can study what they have learned, look ahead to what they will learn, and measure their own progress, working at their own pace. This allows the student to set realistic short and long term goals and can help create a positive experience for all.
There are two categories of "Levels of Achievement"
*Horse Management covers general knowledge of basic horse care and equipment, ie groomng, safe handling, fitting tack, feeding and health care.
*Riding Skills includes teaching the students how to properly sit a horse, learn the aids for communicating with the horse, and building a strong foundation in their riding abilities.
